The first written mention of Střelice comes from 1248, when Wenceslas I donated the village to the Chotěšov monastery . Since the 15th century, the place was pledged to various secular lords and then became the property of the Horšovský Týn estate . After the Battle of White Mountain , the monastery got the place back in 1621.
During the Thirty Years War the place became deserted and the monastery brought German settlers into the country. The berní rula shows only three peasant communities for Střelice and in the Theresian land register of 1713 there were already 20 peasant farms.
