Battle of the Vražda

During the Thirty Years' War , 20,000 insurgents under the command of Christian I of Anhalt attacked the 16,000-strong imperial troops under Charles Bonaventure de Longueval, Comte de , in the early morning hours of October 7, 1620 between Starý Smolivec, Radošice, Dožice, Budislavice and Mladý Smolivec Bucquoy , who had marched on the old trade route from Nuremberg to Příbram and Březnice to Bohemia and pitched their camp there.

The imperial family recognized the danger in time, alerted the troops and set out to retreat to Zelená Hora in order to unite with the troops of Maximilian von Baiern . The attackers only met the rear detachments, with which they met in the fields around the Stráž hill ( 49 ° 32 ′  N , 13 ° 44 ′  E ), southeast of Radošice , which has since been referred to as "Vražda" (murder) , and the Radoschitzer Wiesen fought a bloody battle and slaughtered around 200 imperial soldiers. The mill on the Lomnice was set on fire by the imperial family and the miller was killed.

In the further course the troops of the League moved under Bucquoy to Poříčí , where they camped for five days and then set the city on fire.
