history

Lnáře

The area was already settled in the time of the Celts . The first written mention comes from 1313 . At that time there was a wooden fortress of the Knights of Lnář in the village . Only Ulrich (1313) and Habart (1356) and their brothers are known of this family . They converted the fortress into a castle in 1597, which was used as a brewery in the 20th century and now serves as a residential building. The village gained importance through the residence of various noble families in the neighboring Lnáře Castle .

At the beginning of the 15th century, the lands belonged to the Zmrzlík von Schweißing , who sold them in 1564 to Zdeniek von Sternberg, who ran down his possessions and in 1575, Schlüsselburg pledged it to Wenceslaus von Donin (Václav z Donína a na Bílém Újezdci), from whom it pledged two years later Adam von Sternberg and Bechin bought. His son Jaroslav bequeathed it to his daughter Eva in 1635, married to Count Adam Matthias von Trauttmansdorff, who sold it to Aleš Ferdinand Vratislav z Mitrovic in 1660 . He had a castle and the Church of the Supreme Trinity built near the old fortress. His daughters sold all the goods in 1675 to Humprecht Jan Czernin z Chudenic , whose son Thomas had the Augustinian monastery built. After the death Humprechts his daughter Schlüsselburg brought into the marriage with a descendant of the von Künigl and owned it until 1745. It was followed by the families Spork and the Passauer prince bishop, Count Leopold von Thun , which it to the Lords in 1804 Left of Lutzen Wick sold . From 1880 to 1924 the castle belonged to Karl Klement von Lilgenau .
