history

Čepřovice was probably founded in the 12th century. It was first mentioned in a document in 1315, when Queen Elisabeth granted the village, which was part of the Wolin feudal area, artistic privileges . Later Čepřovice belonged to the royal lords of Hluboka and Karlberg . In the 16th century Wilhelm von Rosenberg acquired the estate and subordinated the village to the mayor of Milejovice . Wilhelm von Rosenberg sold the estate to Ernst Vitanovský von Vlčkovice in 1593. The Vitanovský von Vlčkovice family held the property until 1683, when Ignaz Dietrich Vitanovský's widow Johann Magdalena, née Countess Hržan von Harass, sold the Čepřovice and Miloňovice estates to Franz Georg Ritter Daudlebsky von Daudleb and his wife Lidmila Veronica von Kalenitz. In 1685 Gundakar von Dietrichstein acquired the allodial property Milonowitz and Cžepřowitz with the farms Stržiteřz ( Střítež ) and Miliwitz from Franz Wenzel Knight Daudlebsky von Daudleb. He then joined this to his rule Wällischbirken . In 1689 he had the rule with the attached allodial estates united by Emperor Leopold I to form a Fideikommiss. Fideikommiss fell to his nephew Ferdinand Joseph von Dietrichstein in 1690 and then remained in the possession of the imperial princes of Dietrichstein . The last feudal landlord was Franz Joseph von Dietrichstein-Proskau-Leslie from 1808 . In 1840 there was Tscheprowitz / Cžeprowice of 41 houses with 152 inhabitants. In the village there was a stately mansion with an apartment for officials, a farm with a sheep farm, a mill and an inn. Parish was Předslawitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to the entails rule Wällischbirken.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Čepřejice / Tscheprowitz 1850 with the hamlet Jiřetice a municipality in the district Strakonice and judicial district Wolin. Jiřetice broke up in 1923 and formed its own community. The current place name Čepřovice has been used since 1924. On November 26, 1971, the incorporation of Jiřetice (with Koječín) took place.

The town centers of Jiřetice and Koječín were declared a village conservation area because of the preserved buildings with gabled houses in the peasant baroque style .

The remaining parts of the building were later redesigned for residential purposes.
