history

Archaeological finds prove an early settlement of the community area. The archaeologist Bedřich Dubský discovered two burial hill settlements in the U Luhu and Ouperová corridors and a Celtic settlement on Stroupek Square . At the foot of the hill Na Oltářích there was a settlement from the earlier castle ramparts before the Slavic settlement. Furthermore, a Slavic settlement from the more recent ramparts was found on the U Luhu square .

The present village was created in the 13th century. The first written mention of Paračov was in 1316 in connection with the establishment of a parish. According to legend, the first parish church is said to have stood on Na Oltářích hill. The church was destroyed during the Hussite Wars and the parish became extinct. The Paračov courtyard was later attached to the Stiekna estate . 1648 immigrant from Switzerland to Bohemia nobles bought in January Anton Losy of Losinthal the rule with the associated villages Řepice , Mladějovice, Přešťovice , Čejetice , Droužetice , Přeborovice, Brusy, Cehnice, Dunovice, Netonice, Radějovice , Paračov, Kurimany , Sudkovice and Černěkov by Johann Anton Fürst von Eggenberg . In the second half of the 17th century the Lažanský von Buggau ( Lažanští z Bukové ) acquired the Mladiegowitz ( Mladějovice ) including Paračov and connected it with their Wosek and Bratronitz estates . The Paračov courtyard continued to belong to the Stiekna estate. In 1704 a rectory was built in the town center. When Adam Graf Lažansky von Buggau died in 1737, his property was over-indebted and in 1739 fell to his creditors. These divided the Bratronitz rule again into the three goods Bratronitz, Wosek and Mladiegowitz. In 1742 Adam Philipp Losy von Losinthal acquired the Mladiegowitz estate and connected it with his Stiekna estate . With his death in 1781 the Losy von Losinthal family died out in the male line. His widow Ernestine Countess Fuchs von Bimbach sold the goods to Joseph-Niklas zu Windisch-Graetz in 1784 .

In 1840 the village Paratschow / Paračow on the road from Strakonitz to Barau consisted of 46 houses with 297 inhabitants. 33 of them belonged to Gut Mladiegowitz, seven to Gut Wosek and six to Freihof. The Landtäflige Freihof comprised a usable area of 87 yokes 1501 square fathoms. On the Stiekner part there was a branch church of St. Peter and Paul with a local chaplain maintained by the Stiekner pastor and a school. There was also an emphyteutized meierhof and an emphyteutical tavern, and apart from that there was a keeper's house. Paratschow was the pastor for Zehnitz , Dunowitz ( Dunovice ), Radiegowitz , Skal and Kwaskowitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained largely subject to the allodial rule of Stiekna, including the Mladiegowitz estate and the Paratschow courtyard. The owners were the Counts of Windisch-Graetz .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Paračov / Paratschow 1850 with the hamlet Třesovice a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district Strakonice. In 1880 Třešovice broke away and formed its own municipality. In 1900 the new rectory was built.
