Úlehle [ ˈʊːlɛɦlɛ ], until 1924 Oulehle (German Aulechle , formerly Aulehle ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers southwest of Strakonice in South Bohemia and belongs to the Okres Strakonice .

Geographical location
Úlehle is located on the left side of the Nihošovický creek in the foothills of the Bohemian Forest . To the north rise the Hůrka (655 m) and the Kbíl (665 m), in the northeast the Ostrá (595 m) and Hradiště (604 m), east the Peklo (555 m), in the west the Prosík (529 m) and northwest the Škavlík (606 m). To the southeast is the Jezero pond.

The municipality of Úlehle consists of the districts Radkovice ( Radkowitz ), Švejcarova Lhota ( Swiss Lhota ) and Úlehle ( Aulechle ).

Neighboring towns are Švejcarova Lhota, Smiradice and Sousedovice in the north, Libětice , Pasečná and Přední Zborovice in the north-east, Strunkovice nad Volyňkou , Slukův Mlýn and Němětice in the east, Valcha, Niusíšovice and Poustbka in the south-east, Nišnhošovice and Poustbka in the south- east, Valcha , Niusítice Volyně in the south, Radkovice and Němčice in the southwest, Jetišov in the west and Zahorčice and Kraselov in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of Úlehle took place in 1318. The village belonged to the Strakonitz lordship , and since the 14th century it was owned by the grand priory of the knightly Order of Malta .
In 1840 Aulehle consisted of 21 houses with 117 inhabitants. The parish was Čestitz . The owner was the Grand Prior of the Maltese, Count Karl von Morzin. Until the middle of the 19th century, Aulehle always remained subordinate to the Strakonitz rule.
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Oulehle / Aulehle with the districts Radkovice and Švejcarova Lhota 1850 a municipality in the district administration Strakonice and the judicial district Volyně . Úlehle has been used as an official place name since 1924 . In 1956 the village was electrified. The following year the collectivization of agriculture took place, the farmers from Úlehle and Radkovice formed a joint JZD . The fire station was built in September 1970, and today it also houses the premises of the municipal office and the library. Úlehle and its districts were incorporated into Nihošovice on January 1st, 1974 . In 1975 an extinguishing water pond was created. After a referendum, Úlehle, Radkovice and Švejcarova Lhota broke away from Nihošovice on November 24, 1990 and formed their own municipality. in 2006 the village was connected to the natural gas supply. In the following year, the construction of the transmission and observation tower on the Kbíl, which was opened in 2008, began.
