history

Finds of Slavic urn graves suggest that the village was probably founded in the 9th century. The Deutsche Steig , an old trade route from Freyung to Plzeň and Písek , ran through the village . The oldest Christian church in Předslavice was built on the Kostelec hill above the valley.

In 1350, the was for Wolin associated Dean Church of Sts. Wenceslas first mentioned. The first written mention of the village, named after the old Czech personal name Předslav , was in 1352 as a property of the Vladiken von Tupesy. Later the Helfenburg Burgrave Linhart von Češtice , who was in the service of the Rosenbergs , owned the estate. He was followed in 1398 by Veclín von Předslavice and then his son Jan, who in 1415 was one of the signatories of the protest at the Council of Constance against the burning of Jan Hus . In 1491 the Řepický von Sudoměř bought the estate. During the Thirty Years' War the village suffered from billeting. According to tradition, some of the farmers fled to the Mlak forest. In the berní rula of 1654, only eleven farms are listed for Předslavice, the rest was desolate. The new owners were the barons Hieserle von Chodow. In 1684 Wenzel Michael Hieserle Freiherr von Chodow (Václav Michal Hýzrle z Chodů) sold the allodial estate Předslawitz because of overindebtedness to Gundakar von Dietrichstein , who attached it to his rule Wällischbirken . He was able to acquire other goods and had them combined into an entails commission by Emperor Leopold I in 1689 . Fideikommiss fell to his nephew Ferdinand Joseph von Dietrichstein in 1690 and then remained in the possession of the imperial princes of Dietrichstein . There is evidence of a school since 1687. In 1720 the parish became a branch of Wällischbirken. At the same time the St. Wenceslas Church was also dedicated to St. Trinity consecrated. The last feudal landlord was Franz Joseph von Dietrichstein-Proskau-Leslie from 1808 . In 1838 a new school building was inaugurated. In 1840 Předslawitz / Předslawice consisted of 25 houses with 133 inhabitants. In the village there was a parish church and a school under the patronage of the manor. The former castle served as the seat of the economic officer. There was also a farm and an inn. Předslawitz was vicarage for Aulehle (Úlehle) , Beneda, Bohonitz , Buschanowitz , Czernetitz (Černětice) , Iřetitz (Jiřetice) , Kakowitz (Kakovice) , Kamena (Kamenná) , Koytschin (Koječín) , Markowitz (Marčovice) , Tscheprowitz , Twrsitz , Wssechlap (Všechlapy) and Zelliborzitz (Želibořice) . In 1846 196 children from 16 villages were enrolled in Předslawitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to the entails rule Wällischbirken.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Předslavice / Předslawitz 1850 with the districts Bušanovice and Úlehle a municipality in the district Strakonice and judicial district Wolin. The Předslavice School began teaching three classes in 1887. In 1900 Bušanovice broke up and formed its own municipality. In 1902 the school burned down. Reconstruction began in the same year, but construction delays meant that lessons continued to take place in makeshift arrangements for a while. In 1906, 242 people lived in the 33 houses in Předslavice. In the course of the land reform, 95 hectares of the estate were parceled out in 1920. The connection to the power supply took place in 1927. In 1950 the village school was closed. On July 1, 1960 Marčovice (with Kakovice) and Všechlapy (with Kamenná) were incorporated.
