history

The first written record of the festivals Dřešín (Castle Dřešínek) with the associated villages Velky Dřešín ( Dřešín ) Prostřední Dřešín ( Dřešínek ) and Hořejší Dřešín ( Hořejšice ) was 1407. In the 16th century acquired the Vladiken Kotz of Dobrz the estate Dřešín and closed it to Dobrš. They held the goods until 1607, the subsequent owners were from 1615 Johann Kawka von Řičan and then the Chřepicky von Modlischowitz ( Chřepický z Modliškovic ). In 1644, Wenzel Chřepicky von Modlischowitz sold the fortress Dřešín with the farm and the villages Prostřední Dřešín and Hořejší Dřešín to Johann Markwart Kotz von Dobrz. The village Velký Dřešín he struck the Dobrš manor. From 1679 Franz Albrecht Chřepicky von Modlischowitz was the owner of Dobrš. In 1690 he sold the estate to Apollonia Ludmila Countess von Althann . Their son Hubert Sigmund von Althann sold the Dobrš estate on April 7, 1707 to Adam Franz Fürst zu Schwarzenberg , who connected it with his neighboring Přetschin estate. The princes of Schwarzenberg remained the owners of the estate. After the death of Prince Joseph II of Schwarzenberg , his son Johann Adolf II inherited him in 1833. In 1840, Groß-Dřeschin / Welky Dřessin consisted of 29 houses with 219 inhabitants. The one-layer W Mlegných ( V Mlýnech ) , which consists of seven houses - a rustic mill, a stately brickworks and five Dominical houses - belonged to Groß-Dřeschin . The parish was Čestitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to the allodial estate Přetschin including Dobř and Rohanow.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Dřešín / wholesale Dřeschin 1850 a district of the municipality Vacovice in the district administration Strakonice and the judicial district Volyně . In 1869 there were 258 people living in the village, compared to 290 in 1880. Because the seat of the municipal office in Vacovice could only be reached by long detours or impassable roads through the Peklov valley, Dřešín and Chvalšovice broke away from Vacovice in 1909 and formed their own communities. On November 15, 1927, the Volyně - Vacov bus line was started. A community library was set up in 1929 with little government support. In 1930 Dřešín lived in 44 houses with 234 residents. On May 2, 1948 - with one vote against - the electrification of the village was decided, and on August 6, 1954 the connection to the electricity supply was celebrated with a village festival. On February 1, 1949, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Vimperk in the course of strengthening the districts in the border area. Since the connections to Strakonice were better and some of the residents also worked there, this received little positive response from the residents of Dřešín. In 1950 the village consisted of 44 houses with 137 inhabitants. After the dissolution of the Okres Vimperk, the municipality became part of the Okres Strakonice on July 1, 1960. 1961 Dřešínek (with Hořejšice) and Chvalšovice were incorporated. In 1970 the district of Dřešín only had 113 inhabitants, in 2001 155 people lived in the district of Dřešín.
