history

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1549. After the battle of the White Mountain , the property of Theobald Schwihowsky von Riesenberg was confiscated because of his participation in the uprising of the estates and the Schichowitz reign was sold to Heinrich von Kolowrat -Liebsteinsky. The following owners were from 1634 Franz Ulrich von Kolowrat-Liebsteinsky, from 1675 Wilhelm Albrecht von Kolowrat-Krakowsky and from 1692 Johann Franz von Kolowrat-Krakowsky. The latter sold the rule in 1707 to the Passau prince-bishop Johann Philipp Reichsfürst von Lamberg , who was able to gain additional goods and united them with Schichowitz. In 1716 he raised the combined property to a Fideikommiss . He was succeeded by Anton Reichsfürst von Lamberg, followed by his son Johann Friedrich Reichsfürst von Lamberg in 1760, who died in 1797 without heirs. With the extinction of the imperial line, their dignity, goods and offices fell in 1804 to Johann Friedrich's nephew Karl Eugen († 1831) from the younger line of the Lamberger, who was elevated to the position of imperial prince of Lamberg, baron of Ortenegg and Ottenstein on Stöckern and Amerang. His eldest son Gustav Joachim Fürst von Lamberg took over the inheritance in 1834. In 1840 Neudorf / Nowawes consisted of 41 houses with 312 Czech-speaking residents; one of the houses belonged to Gut Niemtschitz . There was an inn in the village. The parish was Dobrsch . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village was always subject to the Schichowitz entails, including the Raby , Budietitz , Žihobetz and Stradal estates.

After the abolition of patrimonial made Nová Ves / Neudorf 1850 with the hamlet Wýska / Wyska a municipality in the district administration Strakonice and the judicial district Volyně . Víska broke away from Nová Ves in the 1920s and formed its own community. On February 1, 1949, the municipality Nová Ves was assigned to the Okres Vimperk in the course of strengthening the districts in the border area. After the dissolution of the Okres Vimperk, the municipality became part of the Okres Strakonice again on July 1, 1960. On January 1, 1974, it was incorporated into Hoslovice . After a referendum, Lhota pod Kůstrým, Nová Ves and Víska broke away from Hoslovice at the beginning of 1992 and formed the municipality of Nová Ves.
