Přední Zborovice [ ˈpr̝̊ɛdɲiː zbɔrɔvɪt͡sɛ ] (German Vorder Sborowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers south of Strakonice in South Bohemia and belongs to the Okres Strakonice .

Geographical location

Přední Zborovice is located in the foothills of the Bohemian Forest in the Volyňka Valley . The Pahorky (482 m) rise to the northeast, the Vlčíny (524 m) to the east, the Kalný vrch (634 m) to the south, the Ostrá (595 m) to the southwest, the Hradiště (604 m) to the west and the Kamenná bába (to the northwest). 557 m) and the V Holí (435 m). The Strakonice – Volary railway line runs along the eastern edge of the village, followed by the I / 4 state road between Strakonice and Volyně .

history

At the place of the village in the breakthrough of the Volyňka through the Podskalí hills there was originally a lake. Finds of coins and other objects from Roman times above Zborovice show that the Amber Road once ran through the Volyňka Valley . Between the 8th and 10th centuries there was a wooden Slavic castle on the hill of Hradiště.

The first written mention of Zborowicze took place in 1318, when the Order of Malta acquired the place from the Bavor von Strakonitz . In 1384 the village was called Sborowicz , 1385 Sborouicze , 1399 Sborownicze and from 1503 Zborovice . During the turmoil of the Thirty Years War the village became deserted; in the berní rula from 1652, two mills, nine farms, five cottages and one chalupner site are listed as desolate for Zborovice . During the reign of Maria Thersias formed Zborovice an important station on the of Mauth on Kunžvart , Horní Vltavice , Vimperk , Čkyně , Lčovice , Zlešice, Zechovice, Volyně , Přechovice , Strunkovice , Zborovice, Radešovice and Mutenice to Strakonice leading Altensteig . In 1804 the village was renamed Vorder-Zborowitz . In 1840 the village of Vorder-Zborowitz , located on the right of the Wolinka on Passauer Strasse, consisted of 25 houses with 171 inhabitants. There was a chapel and a rustic mill in the village. The parish was Strakonitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village always remained subservient to Strakonitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Přední Zborovice / front Zborowitz 1850 a district of the municipality Radšovice in the district administration and the judicial district Strakonice. In 1869 the village consisted of 25 houses and had 161 inhabitants. In 1887 Přední Zborovice broke away from Radšovice and formed its own community. In Strunkovice nad Volyňkou a joint three-class school for Přední Zborovice and Strunkovice nad Volyňkou was opened in 1891 and a new schoolhouse was inaugurated at the same time. A stable stone bridge was built over the Volyňka between 1912 and 1913. In the course of the 20th century, the development extended to the left bank of the river. In 1930, 169 people lived in the 30 houses in Přední Zborovice. In 1950 the village had 156 inhabitants and consisted of 67 houses. After 168 inhabitants were counted in 1961, the number of inhabitants fell drastically in the following period. In 1964 it was incorporated into Strunkovice nad Volyňkou. At the beginning of 1974 Přední Zborovice was umgemeindet to Radošovice . After a referendum, Přední Zborovice became independent again on November 24, 1990. In 1991 Přední Zborovice had 88 inhabitants, in the 2001 census it was only 65. In 2002 and 2009 the village was affected by the floods of the Volyňka.

Culture and sights

  • Niche chapel Crucifixion of the Lord on the left side of the Volyňka at the old branch to Sousedovice and Radošovice, it was built in the first half of the 18th century. The chapel is flanked by the two mighty Zborovice linden trees.
  • Wayside shrine in the fields between Přední Zborovice and Radošovice, the unusually high three-story building was built in the 17th century. During the First Silesian War in 1742 there was a skirmish between Austrian and Prussian troops on the square.

  • Radošovické skály, a rock northeast of the village on a bend in the Volyňka, the Sluneční stěna wall is used as a climbing area
