Čkyně [ ˈt͡ʃkɪɲɛ ] (German Čkin , 1939–45 Kieselhof ) is a municipality in the Czech Okres Prachatice in Jihočeský kraj .

The village lies on the Volyňka .
Community structure
The municipality Čkyně consists of the districts Čkyně (Čkin) , Dolany (Dollan) , Horosedly (Horised) , Onšovice (Wonschowitz) , Předenice (Prednitz) , Spůle (coil) and Záhoříčko (Zahoricko, 1939-45 Waldhäusel) and the single layers Matoušina , Na Drahách, Na Samotách, Pod Skalnicí, Sedlec ( Sedletz ) and U Dobré Vody.
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Čkyně, Dolany u Čkyně, Horosedly u Čkyně, Onšovice u Čkyně, Předenice u Čkyně and Spůle u Čkyně.

The community was first mentioned in writing in 1243.

After its restoration, a regional Jewish museum was set up in the former synagogue in 2014 .
