history
The village on the medieval trade route from Netolice to Doudleby was first mentioned in 1220. In 1273, King Ottokar II. Přemysl confiscated the Němčice lordship belonging to Svatomír of Němčice with the villages of Němčice, Vlhlavy, Chrášťany and Tupesy because of serious offenses Hohenfurth monastery . King Wenceslas II. Gave Svatomírs son Ones of Němčice the rule on July 3, 1292 back and compensated the Cistercian monastery with another strip of land east of Netolice, the Strýčicer Sprengel with the parish church in Strýčice, the villages Bory, Dobčice, Holašovice , Lipanovice, Strýčice , Všemily and Záboří as well as the forests on the Vysoká Běta and above Habří . Later the manor Němčice was attached to Nettolitz.
The church patronage was exercised alternately by the gentlemen Nettolitz and Frauenberg , the branch church was therefore alternately looked after by Nettolitz dean and the pastor of Pistin . After Adam Franz Karl zu Schwarzenberg inherited the allodial rule Nettolitz and Gut Barau from his aunt Marie Ernestine after the prince's house in Eggenberg had gone out, he connected them with Frauenberg. In 1723 he raised the Němčice Church to a parish church and built the rectory.
In 1835 Němčice / Niemtschitz consisted of 28 houses with 175 Czech-speaking residents. Three of the houses were subject to the rule of Frauenberg. In Němčice there was a parish church, the rectory and a school. Němčice was the parish for Mahausch , Sedlowitz (Sedlovice) , Swieretitz (Zvěřetice) , Klein Groschum (Malé Chrášťany) , Tuppes (Tupesy) , Wihlaw (Vlhlavy) and Selz . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained subject to the allodial rule Nettolitz belonging to the Prince Schwarzenberg.
After the abolition of patrimonial Němčice formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Mahouš in the district administration Prachatice / Prachatitz. In 1878 Němčice broke away from Mahouš and formed its own municipality. The volunteer fire brigade was formed in 1909. After the Munich Agreement and the resulting separation of the Prachatitz district, Němčice remained with the "remaining Czech Republic" in 1938 and was added to the Písek district. In 1948 Sedlovice was incorporated and the municipality was assigned to the newly formed Okres Vodňany. After its abolition, Němčice was assigned to the Okres Prachatice in 1960 and incorporated into Mahouš. In 1976, the large municipality Němčice was formed with the incorporations of Babice , Chvalovice and Mahouš. Babice and Chvalovice broke up in 1990, Mahouš in 1992.
