history
A variant of the Linzer Steig , on which the precious salt was transported from Linz via Hohenfurth and Krumau to Písek and on to Prague , led through the municipality (village Dobročkov ) .
The existence of the Church of St. Bartholomew has been handed down since 1310. The place Ktiš was founded in 1395 on the property of the Sancta Corona monastery. After the destruction of the monastery by the Hussites in 1420, Ulrich II von Rosenberg received all of the monastery properties from Emperor Sigismund as pledge.
In 1729 the guild of tanners and shoemakers in Chvalšiny complained about the craftsmen from Český Krumlov and Horní Planá , who violated the Chvalšiny miles and sold their goods in Ktiš. They then agreed that two craftsmen from Chvalšiny could take part in the church days in Světlík and Zátoň and that the craftsmen from Český Krumlov and Horní Planá could always take part in twos on Palm Sunday in Ktiš and on the church day of St. Thomas .
