history
Nebahovy was first mentioned in a document in 1317. In 1351 the village came under the rule of Bavorov and was subject to the Helfenburg . After the Battle of White Mountain , Charles Bonaventure de Longueval , Comte de Bucquoy, received the village in 1620 and gave it to the Libějovice rule .
The first school was set up in 1839. After the replacement of patrimonial Nebahovy became an independent municipality and was assigned to the judicial district of Netolice from 1850 . In 1886 the place was subordinated to the district court in neighboring Prachatice and again belonged to the Nettolitz judicial district between 1938 and 1945. After only nine children attended the school in the 1986/87 school year, it was closed in 1987 and the pupils retrained to Prachatice.
Mining
Nebahovy used to be a graphite mine. Since the graphite veins are quite deep, however, there was strong access to water and the pit sank. In September 1901, the Kollowitz trade union relocated its mining operations from Kollowitz to Nebahau and sank a new shaft to mine the high-quality graphite located here. In February 1902, work had to stop because the union's finances were exhausted. At this point the shaft had reached a depth of 20 m.
