Malovice (German Großmalowitz ) is a municipality with 640 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers northeast of the town of Netolice and belongs to the Okres Prachatice . Through Malovice, which is 411 m above sea level. M. is located, the branch line runs from Zliv to Netolice.

Community structure
The municipality Malovice consists of the districts Holečkov (Holetschkow) , Hradiště (Hradischt) , Krtely (Kirtel) , Malovice (Großmalowitz) , Malovičky (Kleinmalowitz) and Podeřiště (Poderischt) . Malovice also includes the residential areas Borská hájovna, Rábín (Rabin) , Setuň (Thiergarten) and U Kohoutů. Basic settlement units are Holečkov, Hradiště, Krtely, Malovice, Malovičky, Podeřiště and Setuň.
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Krtely, Malovice u Netolic, Malovičky and Podeřiště.

economy
Malovice was originally intended to be the site of a nuclear power plant. Due to better connections, the Temelín site was later preferred, although the contracts with the Soviet Union had already been signed for the Malovice site.
history
The village in the pond landscape northwest of Budweis , first mentioned in 1315, is characterized by numerous traditional farmsteads in the style of the South Bohemian peasant baroque . In the 19th century there was an agricultural school in Rábín.
