Jordana Brewster (born April 26, 1980 in Panama City , Panama ) is a Brazilian - American actress .
Life
Jordana Brewster's mother, Maria João, is a former Brazilian swimsuit model and featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated two years before Jordan was born . Her father, Alden Brewster, is an investment banker. She has a younger sister named Isabella. Her grandfather, Kingman Brewster, is a past President of Yale University and Ambassador to Great Britain . She studied at the Sacred Heart School in New York City and later at Yale University in New Haven .
Brewster made her acting debut on the television series All My Children . Her two most successful roles were in 1998 in The Faculty as Delilah Profitt and in 2001 in The Fast and the Furious as Mia Toretto , the sister of Vin Diesel's film character Domenic Toretto . In 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015 she was also seen in the sequels of The Fast and the Furious : Fast & Furious - New Model. Original parts. , Fast & Furious Five , Fast & Furious 6, and Fast & Furious 7 .
From June 2012 to September 2014, she played the role of Elena Ramos in the TNT series Dallas , the sequel to the series of the same name from the 1980s. Brewster then appeared in the first season of American Crime Story (2016) and played the lead role of Kate Warner in the second season of Secrets and Lies .
In 2002 she was voted 96th hottest woman in the world by the US magazine "Stuff Magazine". In addition, she took 54th place in the "Hot 100" list of the men's magazine Maxim in 2005 and 59th place in 2006. She played in the music video for It's Over Now by the group Neve, who contributed the soundtrack to The Faculty with this song .
