history

Polučí was a settlement on Luční potok since 1265. Up to the 14th century, Vyšný, Markov and Chlumské domky were established as other villages. Later the area was deserted by the plague. In 1602 a glassworks started operating in Vyšný, it produced until 1793. Other glassworks were operated in Schoberstätten and Hüttstatt. The area was depopulated by the Thirty Years War.

In 1694, the owner of Krummau , Johann Christian von Eggenberg, founded the village of Christianberg. It consisted of 42 houses and its inhabitants were settlers from Styria , Tyrol and Bavaria .

When the male line of the Eggenberg family died out in 1717 , Christianberg fell to the Schwarzenbergs . In the 18th century the woodcutter settlements Wolfsgrub, Käferhäuser, Hüttstatt and Neu Christianberg were built in the area.

In 1807 a glassworks was built at the confluence of the Pucheřský potok with the Blanice . The glassworkers' settlement around the hut was named after the administrator of the Schwarzenberg estates in Krummau, Ernst Meuer, Ernstbrunn. In 1919, a narrow-gauge forest railway began operating in the Blanice Valley, serving to transport calamity wood from the forests of the Bohemian Forest and serving as a connecting railway to the Prachatitz - Wallern line at Brenntenberg . In 1932 Christianberg had 1,464 inhabitants.

The glassworks in Arnoštov was closed in 1945. After the German residents were expelled in 1946, most of the settlements around Křišťanov became extinct. New residents from Bohemia, Moravia, Slovakia and Romania were settled in the remaining villages, some of whom moved away again. In 1950 the Boletice military training area was built south of Křišťanov .
