history

The first written mention of the village belonging to the Eltschowitz estate took place in 1315. After the battle of the White Mountain , the estates of the brothers Adam Bernhard and Bohuslaw Hodejowsky von Hodiegow (Hodĕjovský z Hodĕjova) on Eltschowitz and Chotietitz were confiscated for participating in the uprising of the estates. The Bohemian Chamber sold Eltschowitz on December 6, 1622 for 21,000 Meißnish shock to the imperial field master and treasurer Heinrich Michael Hießerle von Codaw (Jindřich Michal Hýzrle z Chodů) . He owned the estate until his death around 1660. From 1753, the widow Amalie Freiin von Sickingen , née Countess von Althann , from 1768 Joseph Baron von und zu Sickingen, from 1785 Franziska Reichsgräfin von und zu Sickingen and from 1805 belonged to the other owners their brother Franz Reichsgraf von und zu Sickingen. The latter sold the inherited property to Joseph Anton Baumbas in the same year, but bought it back in 1806. In 1815 Franz von und zu Sickingen sold the rule to Dorothea Countess Rey, née Countess Breteuil. In 1830 Eugen Wratislaw Graf Netolitzky received the Eltschowitz rule in court. He sold it in 1835 to Joseph Dreßler, who two years later sold it to Christoph Benda. In 1840 Radostitz consisted of 21 houses with 156 Czech-speaking residents. There was an inn in the village. The parish was Eltschtin (Lštění) . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained subject to the allodial rule of Eltschowitz, including the Zalesl estate.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Radhošť / Radostitz 1850 a district of the municipality Nakvasovice in the district administration Strakonice and the judicial district Volyně . From 1878 Radostice belonged as a district to the municipality Dolní Nakvasovice. In 1921 Radostice became an independent municipality in the Strakonice district. Radhostice has been used as an official place name since 1924 . In 1949 the village was assigned to the newly formed Okres Vimperk.
