notebook
A 2000 AD edition (called “prog”) comprises 30 mostly colored pages with five episodes of different, independent series or independent short comics. The format is approximately 21 × 27.5 cm larger than the US standard format , but smaller than an album. 2000 AD was initially published by IPC; today's publisher is rebellion .
In the course of time, AD 2000 has lost a lot of its popularity: While more than 100,000 copies per issue were sold in the 1980s, in 2007 it was estimated to be only around 20,000. Exact figures are not published. A monthly offshoot with additional comics, the Judge Dredd Megazine , has been published since the 1990s . The most popular series from 2000 AD will also be republished in anthologies.
