The Vysoká Běta (German High Liesel ) with a height of 803.8 m nm is a mountain that belongs to the Blanský les , which in turn is part of the Prachaticka hill country ( Prachatická hornatina ).

The mountain is 19 km west of Budweis ( České Budějovice located), to limit the cadastral areas of Lipanovice ( Linden ) and Jaronín ( Jaromin ). It rises 400 meters above the nearby Dehtář ( Dechtern pond ) in the Budweiser Basin. In 1989, the Vysoká Běta nature reserve with an area of ​​24 hectares was designated on the south-eastern slope. In the north of the Hohen Liesl is the Groschumer Forest ( Chrášťanský vrch ), in the southeast of the Hohenstein ( Vysoká ) and the Hohenwurzen ( Vyský kámen ), in the south the Buglata.

The blue hiking trail from Ober Groschum ( Horní Chrášťany ) leads along the western slope to the Pod Vysokou Bětou junction. The summit is forested and offers no view. However, along the hiking trail on the western slope you have a view of Lhenice and the Helfenburg .
