Adam Franz Prince of Schwarzenberg (Czech Adam František Karel Euseb kníže ze Schwarzenbergu , born September 25, 1680 in Linz , † June 11, 1732 near Brandeis on the Elbe ), 3rd Prince of Schwarzenberg, was a Bohemian nobleman from the House of Schwarzenberg and Austrian Obersthofmarschall.

Life

His parents were Ferdinand Wilhelm Eusebius Prince of Schwarzenberg , 2nd Prince of Schwarzenberg (* May 23, 1652 - October 22, 1703) and Countess Maria Anna von Sulz (* October 24, 1653 - July 18, 1698).

With this marriage the Sulzische inheritance and with it Tiengen and the Klettgau passed to the Schwarzenbergs. It is believed that Prince Ferdinand zu Schwarzenberg had the rooms of Tiengen Castle decorated in a representative way in 1730. He also had the Protivín castle baroque.

He was the 3rd Prince of Schwarzenberg and married to Eleonore Elisabeth Amalia Magdalena von Lobkowicz (* June 20, 1682 , † May 5, 1741 in Vienna ).

He became KK Chamberlain and Real Privy Councilor and from 1711 to 1722 he held the office of Obersthofmarschall, from 1722 until his death in 1732 he was finally Oberststallmeister. He was also gifted with the Order of the Golden Fleece .

Schwarzenberg was made Duke of Krumau on September 28, 1723 . From Emperor Charles VI. invited to hunt deer on the imperial estates near Brandeis, he was mistakenly shot by the emperor when he aimed his rifle at a deer and Prince Adam Franz fell into the imperial line of fire. He died the following day from his serious injuries. The deceased was buried on June 25, 1732 in the family crypt in the Augustinian Church in Vienna . The prince's heart was buried in St. Vitus 'Church in Český Krumlov and the entrails in St. Aegidius' Church in Třeboň .
