The Čkyně Jewish Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in the Czech municipality of Čkyně in Okres Prachatice in South Bohemia . It is located on the Strakonice – Volary railway line and dates from the 17th century.
The approximately 1850 m² cemetery is located 500 meters southeast of the synagogue , near the road to Hradčany. The oldest surviving tombstone dates from 1688. A total of around 500 burials were carried out by 1942 . Baroque tombstones are remarkable . The cemetery has been repeatedly damaged by vandalism since 1945. It was restored between 1982 and 1992. Before that he was not cared for.
