Old Slavic barrows were also found in the Tisovník forest. On the hill of Hradec there are the remains of a Slavic castle.

Droužetice was first mentioned in writing in 1207 in a deed of donation by Ottokar I Přemysl to the monastery of St. George at Prague Castle , in which the king gave the Benedictine nuns income from several villages. The place name is derived from the personal name Drůžata . In the 14th century the village belonged to the Bavor von Strakonice and was subject to the Strakonice Castle. In 1345, Wilhelm von Strakonitz sold the emphyteutical court in Droužetice, along with a quarter of land, to a Maruška family for four shocks of Prague groschen. Bavor IV von Strakonitz confirmed in 1368 to the widow of his keeper Jan called Kajče, a document from his uncle Wilhelm about the emphyteutic sale of a quarter of a hat and two acres in Droužetice. In 1398, Břeněk von Strakonitz sold the brothers Jan Kočka, Oldřich and Ctibor von Miloňovice hereditary a farm with two turns in Droužetice and income from Černíkov, the Ryšov forest and the Panie lúka meadow . From this, after a division of property, the Vladikengut of Oldřich Kočka von Miloňovice emerged. He had a fortress built in Droužetice as his seat. In 1431 he was mentioned for the last time as the guardian of the children of Oldřich von Kraselov. In 1467 Jan Kočka von Miloňovice owned the Droužetice fortress with the farmyard and the village of Droužetice, the village of Černíkov, one field each in Podolí and Rohozná and other accessories. The Miloňovice Kočka held the property until the end of the 15th century. Then Jan Řepický of Sudoměř bought the estate and connected it to Řepice . The fortress lost its importance as a manor house and fell into disrepair. When Jan Hodějovský von Hodějov bought the Řepice estate in 1552, the Droužetice Fortress was called a desolate castle . In the middle of the 16th century the Hodějovský von Hodějov pledged the Droužetice estate to the Lipovský von Lipovice family. In 1591 they released the pledge again and Droužetice was reunited with Řepice. After the battle of the White Mountain , the goods of the Hodějovský family of Hodějov. confiscated. The following owners were the town of Strakonice, then Ursula von Kolowrat . In 1649 Jan Anton Losy von Losinthal bought the Řepice estate including Droužetice and gave it to his rule Stiekna . From 1781 the Counts Windisch-Graetz owned the rule.

In 1840 Drauschetitz / Draužetice consisted of 26 houses with 216 inhabitants. In the village there was a manorial farm, a mutton farm and a Forstadjunktenwohnung . Several limestone quarries were operated around Drauschetitz . The parish was Strakonitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, the village of the allodial rule Stiekna and the Mladiegowitz estate remained subject.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Droužetice / Drauschetitz 1850 with the hamlet Černěkov / Cernekow a municipality in the district administration and the judicial district Strakonice. In 1880 there were 349 people living in Droužetice. On April 1, 1976, the community was dissolved; Droužetice was incorporated into Strakonice and Černíkov to Radomyšl . After a referendum, Droužetice broke away from Strakonice on January 1, 1992 and formed its own municipality. At the beginning of 1993 Černíkov was umgemeindet from Radomyšl to Droužetice.

  • Ryšová natural monument on the hill of the same name
  • Remains of a Slavic fort on the Hradec, east of the village
  • Tisovník nature reserve, in the mountain in the second half of the 20th century an extensive bunker was built, about which rumors circulated among the population about an ammunition or even nuclear weapons depot. In fact, it was probably intended to serve as the headquarters of the 4th Army of the ČsF in the event of war. The bunkers are still maintained by the Czech Army, the western part of the mountain is a restricted area.
  • The created around 1420 Madonna of Droužetice ( Droužetická Madona ) was discovered in the district Strakonice in the village chapel in the 1930s by art historian Alžběta Birnbaumová in connection with the inclusion of an inventory of historic and artistic monuments. The origin of the work of art, which was once part of a Gothic altar, is unclear. According to tradition, it is said to have come to Droužetice as a gift or as a purchase from Plzeň, and it is said that it was brought to the village by the French in 1741. The wooden figure may come from a Strakonice church, the Gallus Church in Čejetice , or the Church of St. Aegidius in Řepice, which were baroque in the 18th century, or from the chapel of the Řepice fortress. In 1978 the Madonna was transferred to the museum in Strakonice and restored there. It was presented in the Czech pavilion at Expo 2000 . A copy is in the municipal office. Ladislav Stehlík inspired the character for the poem Droužetická Madona .
