Otto Röer

Otto Röer (born September 14, 1881 in Gandersheim , † February 22, 1957 in Kiel ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

As the son of the mayor of Gandersheim , Röer began to study law at the Philipps University of Marburg . In 1901 he became a member of the Corps Teutonia Marburg . When he was inactive , he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin , and later to the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . In 1903 he passed the trainee examination. Assessor since 1909 , he joined the administration of the province of Schleswig-Holstein as a state assessor in 1911 . Appointed regional councilor in Kiel in 1914, he took part in the entire First World War, most recently as captain of the reserve . Initially for three years as acting , he was 1932-1938 governor of Schleswig-Holstein Provinzialverband . In the Second World War he served in the Wehrmacht in 1939/40 . From 1940 to 1945 he was with the government in Münster . After twelve years of retirement, he died at the age of 76. He was married to Gertrud Lehment from Kiel, with whom he had four sons and a daughter, since 1914.
