Milínov (German Milinau ) is a municipality with 186 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers northwest of Spálené Poříčí on the edge of the Brdywald and belongs to the Okres Plzeň-jih . The cadastral area is 1229 ha.
geography
The place is located at 438 m above sea level. HM the east Úslavatales Potok in the headwaters of Milínovský. To the north lies the Kornatický potok valley in the Brdy Forest with the remains of the Lopata Castle . To the east lies the Pramný hill (519 m), which has been declared a nature reserve.
Neighboring towns are Kornatice in the north-west, Lipnice and U Nádraží in the east, Vlkov in the south, Žákava in the south-west, Malá Strána and Nezvěstice in the west, and Šťáhlavice, Hájek and Kozel with the Kozel Castle in the north-west.
history
The first written mention of the village Milinow belonging to Strašice took place in 1379. By the Rosenbergs the place was assigned to the rule Vlčtejn and then in 1532 came to Žákava . From 1601 until the end of patrimonial rule in 1850, Milínov was part of the Šťáhlavy rule . In 1750 there were 121 people living in the village , which is part of Chválenice .
The village school was opened in 1886 and in 1890 Milínov had 424 residents, including the Lopata Mill, the Hegerhaus and three forest houses.
The Kornatický rybník is a natural swimming pool and recreational area and there is a campsite near Hájek.
