Christoph Kokořovec had a Renaissance fortress built between 1603 and 1615. He lost his property as a rebel and was pardoned in 1623. In 1650 his daughter Ludmila Eliška sold Molovcová von Kokořov Chocenice to Jan Václav Kocov, who in 1685 sold the property to Mark Josef Lenoy. Lenoy had the fortress converted into a baroque palace.
