Tojice (German Tojitz ) is a municipality with 90 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers east of Nepomuk on the Víska river and belongs to the Okres Plzeň-jih . The cadastral area is 241 hectares.

The place is 344 m above sea level. M. on a slope along a stream on the right bank of the Víska. Dvorecký rybník lies northwest below the village.
Neighboring towns are Vrčeň in the north, Čmelíny in the east, Mohelnice in the southeast, Třebčice in the southwest and Dvorce in the west.
history
The first documentary mention of the town of Togicz , which belongs to the Cistercian monastery of Pomuk , dates from 1371. After the monastery was destroyed, the town fell to the newly created noble lordship of Grünberg , which King Sigismund lent to Bohuslav and Hynko von Schwanberg in 1420 . In 1464 ownership passed to Zdenko von Sternberg and the Sternbergers remained the landlords until 1726 . Then the Martinic sat at Grünberg Castle and in 1784 the Colloredo -Mannsfeld followed.
After patrimonial jurisdiction was abolished, Tojitz became an independent municipality in 1850. In 1927 the village had 243 inhabitants. In 1960 it was incorporated into Vrčeň and Tojice has been independent again since 1992.
