Seč (German Setsch ) is a municipality with 276 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located two kilometers west of the town of Blovice and belongs to the Okres Plzeň-jih . The cadastral area is 334 ha.
geography
Seč is 400 m above sea level. M. on the left slope of the Podhrázský potok, which feeds the Mlýnský rybník in the village. State roads 20 from Pilsen to Nepomuk and 178 from Blovice to Přeštice cross to the west of the village .
Neighboring towns are Vlčtejn , Chlumánky and Zdemyslice in the north, Blovice in the east, Komorno in the southeast, Chocenická Lhota in the south, Chocenický Újezd in the southwest, Únětice in the west and Chlum in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of Seč comes from 1319. In 1384 the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built. In the 16th century a fortress was built, which was converted into a granary in 1760. In 1691 the church received a new equipment .
