The local railway Stankau – Bischofteinitz – Ronsperg (Czech. Místní dráha Staňkov – Horšovský Týn – Ronšperk ) was a private local railway - stock corporation in today's Czech Republic . The route leads from Staňkov ( Stankau ) to Poběžovice ( Ronsperg ) in western Bohemia . The seat of the company was in Prague .

history

On December 29, 1898, “Karl Fürst Trauttmansdorf-Weinsberg, in association with the district chairman Josef Angelis in Bischof-Teinitz, received the requested concession to build and operate a standard-gauge local railway from the Stankau station on the Pilsen – Furth i state railway line. W. via Bischof-Teinitz to Ronsperg ” . The company's share capital totaled 678,000 crowns .

The line was opened on August 6, 1900. The operation was carried out by the kk Staatsbahnen (kkStB) on behalf of the local railway Stankau – Bischofteinitz – Ronsperg . After the First World War, the newly founded Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) took the place of the kkStB .

On January 1, 1925, the Stankau – Bischofteinitz – Ronsperg local railway was nationalized by law and the line was integrated into the ČSD network.

The route still exists (2018), but the timetable has been significantly reduced in recent years. Passenger trains run daily between Poběžovice and Horšovský Týn. The Horšovský Týn - Staňkov section is now (2018) only served on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Locomotives

On account of the local railway Stankau – Bischofteinitz – Ronsperg the kkStB acquired two locomotives of the 97 series . The locomotives had the road numbers 97.186 and 97.187.
