geography

Zámělíč is located about two kilometers east of Poběžovice on the bank of the Pivoňka .

history

In 1379 Klein Semlowitz was first mentioned in writing in the Berna register . The name Zámělíč (originally: Zámělíce ) and onomatopoeically derived from it (Klein) Semlowitz is of Slavic origin. The place was named to distinguish it from Semněvice as (Hohen-, Hoch- or Groß-) Semlowitz north of Bischofteinitz Klein Semlowitz.

Klein Semlowitz was parish off to Schüttwa until 1490 , then to Metzling and from 1788 to Ronsperg.

In 1656 Klein Semlowitz had 14 farmers, 3 Chalupers, 45 teams, 22 cows, 35 young cattle, 57 sheep and 69 pigs. In 1789 it had 29 houses, in 1839 33 houses and 204 inhabitants, a mill and an inn and in 1946 51 houses, 250 inhabitants, two feldspar and mineral mills, two inns, a shop, a community forge, a carpenter, a shoemaker and a tobacco shop.

In 1900, Klein Semlowitz was connected to the Ronsperg - Stankau railway line . The Zámělíč railway station is about 500 meters north of the village.

After the Munich Agreement , Klein Semlowitz was added to the German Empire and belonged to the Bischofteinitz district until 1945 .
