Šibanov ( German Schiefernau ) is a West Bohemian village and part of the municipality Poběžovice in Okres Domažlice .

geography

Šibanov is located about eight kilometers west of Poběžovice on the northern source stream of the Mlýnský potok ( Zeiserlmühlbach ), which flows into the Pivoňka about four kilometers further east . The municipality of Poběžovice here in the headwaters of the Mlýnský potok on the northern slope of the 869 meter high Lysá Mountain forms an approximately two by two kilometers large exclave , which is separated from the actual municipality around the town of Poběžovice by the municipalities of Mnichov and Hvožďany .

history

Schiefernau was first mentioned in writing in 1597.

Schiefernau (also: Schifernau, Schischetin) belonged to the Stockau Chamber Administration Estate in 1789 and had nine houses. In 1913 the village had 13 houses and 82 inhabitants, in 1945 it had 15 houses and 62 inhabitants. The district of Schiefernau had 312 hectares in 1937. The children from Schiefernau went to the school in Berg, three kilometers away, to whose parish it also belonged.
