history
Chodská Lhota is one of the eleven oldest Chodendörfer and was first mentioned in a document as Lhotka Villa Chodonum on March 16, 1325 under the Chodian privilege of Johann von Luxemburg . The place, which was later recorded with the German name Mehlhut , belonged, like all free Chodian villages, to the Riesenberg castle rule . At the beginning of the 17th century, Wolf Wilhelm Laminger von Albenreuth received the Chodendörfer as a pledge, and at the end of the century the Laminger inherited the property. In the berní rula the village is recorded as part of the Újezd Svatého Kříže estate. The residents of the village took part in the uprising, suppressed in 1693, under the leadership of Jan Sladký Kozina against Wolf Maximilian Laminger , known as "Lomikar". In the 18th century the village belonged to the unified Kout na Šumavě / Trhanov rule under the Counts of Stadion . Melhut was parish in Loučim , where the children were also enrolled until the first village school opened in 1827. In 1899 the Chodská Lhota Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded. In 1927 the village was connected to the electricity network.
