The Zahořanský potok , on the upper reaches Starý potok (German Sahorschaner Bach ) is a right tributary of the Zubřina in the Czech Republic .
course
The Zahořanský potok rises northwest of Chodská Lhota and east of Vítovky in the Všerubská vrchovina . Its source is located at the northern foot of the Chlumek, also Německá hora ( German mountain ; 644 m nm) or southwest of the Dobrá hora (641 m nm). The source of the Kouba / Chamb is just under a kilometer to the southwest . On its northwestern headwaters, the Zahořanský potok is crossed after 500 meters at the Chodská Lhota stop by the Janovice nad Úhlavou – Domažlice railway line. Then the brook flows over Hluboká, Brnířov , Kdyně , Prapořiště , Na Kobyle, Bílý Mlýn, Váchalovský Mlýn and Kout na Šumavě through the Kdyňská brázda ( Neugedeiner furrow ). Then the Zahořanský potok reaches the Chodská pahorkatina and is dammed near Nový Dvůr in the Novodvorský rybník pond. Its further course leads in a northerly direction past Levcův Mlýn, Moravcův Mlýn, Zahořany , Sedlice, Husmankův Mlýn, Byšensko and Na Ovčíně. After 14.1 kilometers, the Zahořanský potok flows into the Zubřina southwest of Radonice .
Between 2012 and 2013, the flood polder Poldr Zahořany was created at kilometer 3.3 of the Zahořanský potok near Zahořany by means of a 3.5 m wide and 171 m long earth embankment .
Between Chodská Lhota and Kout na Šumavě, the Janovice nad Úhlavou – Domažlice railway follows the course of the stream.
