history

The first written mention of the desert village Pařezov belonging to the Ronšperk lordship was in 1537. Around 1700 the lordship had a new village of Parisau laid out in the forest on the north-western slope of the Parisauberges. In 1757, the street village of Neu Parisau, consisting of a small row of houses, was built in the southwestern neighborhood of the street village Parisau. The older village was henceforth called Alt Parisau. At that time, both towns had a combined population of only 44. Neu Parisau had grown to 26 houses in 1839 and had 211 inhabitants.

After the abolition of patrimonial old Parisau and New Parisau formed from 1850 districts of the municipality of Wottawa in the judicial district of Bischofteinitz . Since 1869, both places belonged to the Bischofteinitz district . In 1913 Neu Parisau consisted of 32 houses. In 1930, 215 people lived in 41 houses in Neu Parisau, while Alt Parisau consisted of 25 houses and had 138 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement , Alt Parisau and New Parisau were added to the German Empire and belonged to the Bischofteinitz district until 1945 . On June 10, 1945, four German men were arrested in Old and New Parisau and taken away without ever reappearing. After the end of the Second World War, most of the Germans were expelled and the Czechs settled, and the population of both villages fell drastically as a result. Since 1960 both villages belonged to the Okres Domažlice . In 1961 it was incorporated into Nový Kramolín . Between 1985 and 1990 Nový Pařezov and Starý Pařezov belonged to Poběžovice as districts . On November 24, 1990 they detached both villages from Poběžovice and formed the municipality of Pařezov. In the 1991 census, 64 people lived in the 19 houses of Nový Pařezov, Starý Pařezov consisted of 16 houses and had 31 inhabitants.
