Semněvice (German Hochsemlowitz ) is a Czech municipality with 153 inhabitants in Okres Domažlice . It is located about ten kilometers north of the town of Horšovský Týn (Bischofteinitz) on the southeastern edge of the Sedmihoří (Seven Mountains). The Chuchla rises northeast of Semněvice .
history
The first written evidence of the parish village took place in 1264. Around 1900 a stallion station was set up in the village and horse breeding was established in the village. In 1939 the place had 226 inhabitants. It was shaped by agriculture.
After the Munich Agreement , Semněvice was added to the German Reich and until 1945 belonged to the Bischofteinitz district .
In 1945/46 most of the German residents were expelled.
