Nidda administrative region

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The administrative district of Nidda with its administrative seat in Nidda was an administrative district in the Grand Duchy of Hesse from 1848 to 1852 .

history

As a result of the March Revolution , the provinces, the counties and the districts remaining in the “sovereign lands” were abolished in the Grand Duchy in 1848 and replaced by administrative districts. The administrative district of Nidda was also created as one of ten (from 1850: eleven) administrative districts in the Grand Duchy. For this purpose, the majority of the Nidda and Grünberg districts and the Büdingen district district were combined. The latter was possible because the revolution and the civil glorious privileges in law and administration of the princes and counts of Isenburg had eliminated.

As a product of the March Revolution, this territorial reform was reversed after the victory of the restorative forces in the reaction era in 1852. The previously dissolved district of Nidda was restored from the administrative district of Nidda and the new districts of Büdingen and Schotten were established.
