Administrative region of Dieburg
The administrative district Dieburg was briefly and as a result of the March Revolution 1848-1852 an administrative unit in the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
history
As a result of the March Revolution in 1848, the provinces, the counties and the districts remaining in the “sovereign lands” were abolished in the Grand Duchy and replaced by administrative districts. The administrative region of Dieburg emerged from the Dieburg district and parts of the Bensheim , Darmstadt and Offenbach districts .
As a product of the March Revolution, this territorial reform was reversed after the victory of the restorative forces in the reaction era in 1852, when the formerly dissolved districts of Dieburg, Darmstadt, Bensheim and Offenbach were restored from the area of the Dieburg administrative district.
Conductor of the government commission
The former Dieburg district councilor Friedrich Kritzler was the conductor of the government commission of the Dieburg administrative district, i.e. head of the regional council .
