Heppenheim administrative district
The administrative district of Heppenheim was an administrative unit in the Grand Duchy of Hesse from 1848 to 1852 .
history
As a result of the March Revolution , the provinces, the counties and the districts remaining in the “sovereign lands” were abolished in the Grand Duchy in 1848 and replaced by administrative districts. The administrative district of Heppenheim was also created from the two districts of Bensheim and Heppenheim .
As a product of the March Revolution, this territorial reform was reversed after the victory of the restorative forces in the reaction era in 1852. The previously dissolved districts of Bensheim and Heppenheim were re-established from the area of the government district of Heppenheim, but the communities of the district court district of Fürth were assigned to the district of Lindenfels .
