Gianfranco Campigotto

Gianfranco Campigotto (born August 2, 1933 in Scorzè ) is an Italian documentary filmmaker and television director .

Life

The documentarist Campigotto worked as assistant director to Ermanno Olmi and Tinto Brass for the first time for the cinema in the 1960s. In the following decade he worked for television programs like Giallo vero or 30 anni dopo ; including a film about the Italian Social Republic . He made his only film as a feature film director in 1982 using his own material; the urban drama Erba selvatica , although praised for its directing and editing, went practically unnoticed.
