Gianni Baghino
Giovanni "Gianni" Baghino (born June 25, 1919 in Carloforte ; † April 23, 1995 ibid) was an Italian actor .
Life
Baghino, brown-haired, of medium but strong stature and always sinister-looking, began a steady career as a popular supporting and character actor , who was active from 1947 until his death , after a moderately successful period as a boxer in post-war Italian cinema . He shot the majority of his films between 1955 and 1967, when he mostly appeared in genre productions as a policeman or petty crook, as a pimp or night watchman, as a smuggler or simple villager. He played his most important role early on, in 1952 as an opponent of Paul Muni in Imbarco a mezzanotte .
