Gianni Pons

Gianni Pons (actually Giovanni Claudio Pons ; born March 8, 1909 in Milan , † 1975 ) was an Italian actor and film director .

Life

Pons played supporting roles as an actor in the 1930s, among which only the film Storms over Morreale ( Ettore Fieramosca ) stands out, in which he was the "Count of Nemours". With its director Alessandro Blasetti he remained professionally connected as his personal assistant; he also worked on some scripts. As the war progressed, Pons moved to Turin , where he directed the dramatic comedy L'angelo del crepuscolo based on his own book in 1943 - a very small film that was only released in cinemas after the end of the war and then disappeared again without success - three years later he the Italian version of the French film Nous ne sommes pas mariés . As a representative of the Italian film industry, he then worked in Barcelona for "Hispanicas"; He left the film industry in the late 1950s.
