The Giardino Garibaldi , also called Villa Garibaldi, is a park in Palermo . It is located in Piazza Marina .

The complex was designed in 1863 by the architect Giovanni Battista Filippo Basile . It is fenced in with a wrought iron grille. Opposite the Palazzo Chiaramonte, there are two impressive specimens of the Ficus magnolioides in the park .

The first police murder of the Mafia in Palermo took place in the Giardino Garibaldi .
