The Gibidumsee at 2193 m above sea level. M. lies on the back of the Gibidum in a small depression a few 100 m from the Gibidumpass . It is carried by the Suone Heido , which is caught in the Nanztal , and serves as a water reservoir for the irrigation of the meadows of Visperterminen. Since it is only 2 m deep, it becomes pleasantly warm in summer and invites you to swim. The lake is also popular with fishermen.
The Gibidumsee is not to be confused with the Gibidum reservoir below the Great Aletsch Glacier and above the Massa Gorge .
