Gideon Defoe (* 1975 ) is a British writer and screenwriter .

Life

After graduating from the University of Oxford in archeology and anthropology , Gideon Defoe worked as a bartender in London for some time . Since he saw no future prospects for himself, he wanted to go back to university to do his doctorate . Instead he wrote with The Pirates! in an Adventure with Scientists, his first book to “impress a girl” according to his own words. Four more volumes followed, and the 2012 film Die Piraten! - A bunch of weird guys wrote the script, which is his first two volumes of The Pirates! includes.
