history

Reinhold Giersch founded the company in 1951 at the age of 25. The sale of heating devices was the first field of activity. In 1954 the company specialized in American oil burners and thus became a pioneer in Germany. Until then, most apartments were heated with coke and not with oil. The company has also been producing oil burners itself since 1962, and since 1971 under the Giersch brand name .

In 1976 the company set up a branch in Switzerland, which today, as CTC Giersch, also belongs to the Enertech group. In the 1990s, Giersch achieved top positions on the German market for the first time. The factory hall in Deilinghofen , built in 1966, was expanded a total of four times by 1998. In 2001 the company, which has been operating under the name "Giersch GmbH Öl- und Gasbrennerwerk" since 1990, founded the Enertech group together with other companies in the industry from all over Europe. Giersch maintains 27 works offices or representations within Germany. The company also has its own agencies in France, the northwestern Balkans, the Baltic States, Russia and Switzerland. In some other countries, the Enertech group has joint branches.
