Deilinghofen is a district of Hemer . Deilinghofen is in the Märkisches Kreis ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) in the Sauerland . Deilinghofen is particularly known for the Felsenmeer , the northernmost karst landscape in Germany.
history
The first documentary mention under the name Dedelinchove dates back to September 8, 1306 in a document from the Oelinghausen monastery . But there was already a settlement there, where the iron ore from the sea of rocks was smelted.
Deilinghofen was one of originally 14 parishes belonging to the Hemer office in what was then the Iserlohn district . On April 1, 1929, the previously independent community of Brockhausen was incorporated into Deilinghofen. On January 1, 1975, the Office Hemer was dissolved and all remaining member communities (except for Kesbern ) were incorporated into the city of Hemer.
coat of arms
Like all coats of arms of the Hemer office, Deilinghofen also had three wolf rods as a symbol of the von Brabeck family in the coat of arms. The diagonal stripes in the Brandenburg colors of red and silver go back to the von Werminghausen family, who were lords of Klusenstein Castle in the Hönnetal in the 15th and 16th centuries . The coat of arms was granted on June 14, 1939 and expired with the incorporation in 1975.
Sports
Deilinghofen became known nationwide through the " Ice Hockey Club Deilinghofen" (ECD). After the ice rink of what was then the Canadian barracks was made available to a street team in 1958 , the club was founded in 1959. In the 1977/1978 season he was promoted to the first national ice hockey league for the first time. After relegation under the new name "ECD Iserlohn" in 1980, the club became first class again in 1983. In 1988 the association had to file for bankruptcy. After several start-ups, the successor club " Iserlohn Roosters " has played in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) since the 2000/01 season .
Another nationally known sports club is the TV Deilinghofen .
