Kesbern is a district of Iserlohn in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . The city of Iserlohn with its Kesbern district is located in the northwest of the Sauerland and belongs to the Märkisches Kreis . At the end of 2019, Kesbern had 381 residents.
Until 1974 the former municipality of Kesbern belonged to the office of Hemer in what was then Iserlohn district . On January 1, 1975 it was incorporated into the city of Iserlohn. Kesbern is the southernmost district of Iserlohn. Altena-Hegenscheid airfield is located in the south of Kesbern . The Kesberner Kalkbuchenwald nature reserve lies to the west of the village .

The plowshares on the coat of arms of the former municipality symbolize the rural and village character of Kesbern. The Wolfsangeln denote the earlier affiliation to the former office of Hemer. The three "hills" stand for the mountainous area of the former municipality.
