Kalthof is a district of Iserlohn in the Märkisches Kreis . The street village used to belong to the Sauerland municipality of Hennen , which was incorporated into the town of Iserlohn on January 1st, 1975. At the end of 2019, Kalthof and the surrounding area had 3377 inhabitants.

The village grew out of several farmsteads. In a document from the 13th century, the Count of Limburg transfers his rights to Kalthove to the Count of the Mark . The village thus became the Brandenburg exclave between the Limburg area and the Duchy of Westphalia . Only individual farmsteads did not pay any rent to the Brandenburg counts or their legal successors (Prussia), but to the Archdiocese of Cologne , which owned the land in the Sümmern area . In 1903 the place is still listed as Kalthoff in the topographic maps.

Kalthof is connected to the national road network with the B 233 via the A 46 and to the Deutsche Bahn through a train station opened in 1910 along the Ardey Railway (Dortmund – Iserlohn) .
