Calle was a municipality in the Iserlohn district, from 1907 the Iserlohn district in the Prussian province of Westphalia . The neighboring communities of Calles were, starting clockwise in the north, Sümmern , Landhausen , Hemer (originally Oberhemer ), Westig , Ihmert , Iserlohn , Östrich (today with the spelling Oestrich ) and Hennen .

The community was originally called Kalle. She belonged to the Office Iserlohn . The municipality size was 8.59 km². On August 1, 1929, the community was dissolved.

The largest part of the former municipality was incorporated into the municipality of Hemer (4.77 km²). The then still independent municipality of Ihmert received 6 hectares. The city of Iserlohn took over 3.76 km² of the former municipality, but now in the still official spelling Calle.

The Iserlohn district is located in the east of the city. It includes the Griesenbrauck and Bilveringsen settlements (current end of the A 46 motorway ) as well as the industrial area on Westfalenstrasse, in which the Märkische Verkehrsgesellschaft operates its Iserlohn branch and a depot. At the end of 2019, the Griesenbrauck / Bilveringsen area had 739 inhabitants.
