Gerlingsen is a district of Iserlohn in the Sauerland .

The village is east of Grürmannsheide and north of Dröschede . In 1549 it was first mentioned in a document as "Gerlinchusen"; her name probably originated from "Gardinghusen" (after the male name Garding ).

At the end of 2019 Gerlingsen had 3971 inhabitants. The district has a primary school and a branch of the comprehensive school Iserlohn. It is connected to the national road network via the nearby Iserlohn-Zentrum junction of the A 46 .
